Known as being one of the most award-winning rally drivers in Brazil, Michel Terpins started his racing career in 2002 in the Sertoes Rally, which is the country’s largest off-road racing competition. He initially competed in the motorcycle category of the event, but later began driving a high-powered vehicle he and his team named T-Rex, which was developed by MEM Motorsport. This machine was built with an added V8 engine that makes it appropriate for riding over the rough terrain that is a part of the contest.

Michel Terpins grew up in Sao Paulo, where he spent a great deal of his childhood learning about and repairing all types of cars. Coming from a family that has always had a big interest in sports, he developed a love for competing in speed racing, which is a sport he participates in with his brother Rodrigo, who is one of the 3 other members on his driving team in the Sertoes Rally. Their team is called the Bull Sertoes Team, and they are considered to be one of the best in the annual event. The team won the 2nd stage of the 24th edition of the 7-stage rally driving contest that covers 2,600 kilometers of road. After winning that stage of the race, Michel stated that it was a very difficult and exhausting stage because of all of the bumpy terrain his team had to get through, but their skill, discipline and hard work helped them prevail.

Enthusiastic fans and spectators of the Sertoes Rally know that Michel Terpins is one of its most decorated drivers, being that he has won most of the competitions he’s been in since he began his racing career. Along with the other members of the Bull Sertoes team, he has managed to achieve high rankings in the rally for quite some time. His father Jack Terpins was the first in their immediate family to introduce the Terpins name to the sports world when he became a popular basketball player in the South American country back in the 1960s and 1970s. Michel Terpins continues to hold his position as one of Brazil’s most celebrated rally drivers.
